SOFT tulip at a Wilde Ganzen Panel Discussion

Do you have a project supporting Ukraine and are looking for partners and funding? You may be eligible for support from Wilde Ganzen and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

CivicFocus for Ukraine is a new five-year program (2026–2030) launched by Wilde Ganzen and funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The program supports Ukrainian communities and civil society initiatives.

Last week, Ieke van Lammeren, director of SOFT tulip, and Anna Kukuruza from the Ukrainian Association of Early Intervention shared their experience during a panel discussion at a Wilde Ganzen networking event hosted at Ukraine House Rotterdam.

SOFT tulip already works closely with Wilde Ganzen for 4+ years to support projects focused on the care and development of children with disabilities in Ukraine. Through this partnership, our Early Intervention programme has been funded, that provide specialized support and services for Ukrainian children with disabilities and their families.

The needs in Ukraine are now more urgent than ever, and the momentum to create sustainable change is now. SOFT tulip remains fully committed to advancing community-based mental health services, early intervention programs, and the Build Back Better approach to health and social care through support for deinstitutionalization initiatives across Ukraine.

Within the CivicFocus program, approximately €1 million per year has been earmarked for projects in Ukraine. Funding will focus on strengthening local communities, rebuilding war-affected areas, supporting civil society organizations, and increasing community resilience during the war and throughout the recovery process.
