SOFT tulip focuses on training healthcare professionals, strengthening regional care infrastructure, and embedding psychosocial support within primary healthcare services. Through partnerships, we take on a coordinating and connecting role, ensuring that different initiatives align with one another and that long-term, sustainable impact can be achieved.
Since the war in Ukraine, the need for psychological and social support has increased dramatically. Many people are experiencing stress, loss, trauma, and prolonged uncertainty. SOFT tulip strongly believes that mental health should be regarded as a public responsibility, just as essential as physical health.
Main focus:
Regular online consultations with local authorities and NGOs led to the launch of a training center for supported living and preparations for a broader mental health reform project. SOFT tulip further contributed through national working groups, bi-weekly supervision for social workers and monthly training by Dutch psychiatrists. These activities are fundamental to build a long-term, sustainable and community-based mental health system in Ukraine.
