SOFT tulip is an unique partnership of Dutch service providers for people in need of special care, who join forces to support providers in countries where there is a desire for improvement.
As a network of care institutions in the Netherlands, SOFT tulip is active in Central and Eastern Europe to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities.
We work towards an inclusive society, in line with the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and on the Rights of the Child. Our goals are that children can grow up in their families as much as possible, that people with special needs enjoy full citizenship, and that institutional living is phased out as much as possible.
By training care professionals and parents, bringing people together in networks, supporting the interests of people with special needs, and stimulating policy changes, we support the development of an inclusive society.
To achieve an inclusive society, empowered clients, their family members, supportive policies, and adequate community facilities are needed.
For more than 15 years, SOFT tulip has been working to embed integrated Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) services within Ukraine's national care system.
