Run for Ukrainian Kids: €3,090 Raised for Early Childhood Intervention in Ukraine

On 19 April 2026, Amsterdamse Bos became the starting point for the charity run Run for Ukrainian Kids, organised by SOFT Tulip together with Ukrainian Running Club Amsterdam. This event took place as part of Wilde Week — a nationwide initiative in the Netherlands that unites communities around impactful projects across the world.
About the Event
Runners of different ages and paces gathered on a Sunday morning to move with purpose: participants chose between distances of 1, 5, and 10 kilometres. The event brought together athletes, volunteers, members of the Ukrainian diaspora, and everyone who wanted to stand with Ukrainian children growing up in the reality of war.
Impact
Thanks to the contributions of every participant and supporter, the run raised €1,545. Through the donation-doubling programme of Wilde Ganzen, the total reached €3,090 — 100% of which goes directly to SOFT Tulip’s Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) programmes in Ukraine.

Why Early Childhood Intervention
Early Childhood Intervention is one of the most powerful tools available for children with developmental needs. Support provided in the earliest years of life significantly shapes a child’s trajectory — cognitively, physically, and emotionally. Equally important is the role of parents: when families are equipped with the right knowledge and practical tools, they become their child’s most important source of support.
In Ukraine today, access to these programmes is severely limited by the ongoing war. Every euro raised helps close that gap.
SOFT Tulip extends sincere gratitude to all who made this event possible: to our partners and supporters — Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Netherlands, media-channel @diaspora_nl, Eugene Levchenko and Viktoria Koblenko and to our volunteer team, whose dedication made every moment of the day happen.
